Mobile Cardiac Telemetry
Mobile Cardiac Telemetry is an automatically activated system that requires no patient intervention to either capture or transmit a dysrhythmia when it occurs. The purpose of this service is for
real-time, continuous, long-term (>24 hours) cardiac surveillance of patients in order to identify and document a suspected and/or paroxysmal dysrhythmia.
Mobile Cardiac Telemetry utilizes technology that allows for wireless or internet transmission of the electrocardiogram (ECG) waveform in near real-time to the WirelessDx Monitoring Centers. A WirelessDx Monitoring Center is equipped and staffed with qualified personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assess electrocardiographic data and to initiate appropriate management action. The patient's physician is made aware
of dysrhythmias by qualified personnel based on pre-determined notification criteria, which may be tailored to the patient by the interpreting physician.
WirelessDx personnel consist of paramedics and registered nurses (RN's) with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications and are supervised by physicians specializing in cardiology, internal medicine and emergency medicine.
In Mobile Cardiac Telemetry, the patient wears a smart monitor that detects arrhythmias and automatically sends, via cellular or internet transmission, the ECG data to a remote computer (cloud server). The WirelessDx Monitoring Center personnel provide near real-time surveillance and analysis of the ECG data, 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
